Swedish Flora aims to make the flower forests and plains feel more like the forests and meadows of Sweden, Minecraft's birthplace! Currently I have added 7 species of flowers and I plan to add more until most of the flowers are a part of the Swedish flora. I won't change some flowers since there are already some that exist in Sweden, these are: Poppies, Corn flowers, Oxeye daisies and Lilies of the valley. Technically Dandelions and Lilac should go in this category too but I have decided do change the texture of dandelions and completely replace Lilac anyway.

This pack also has language support for Swedish, Latin (the scientific names) and both US and UK English!

Here is a list of all the flowers and which vanilla flower they replace:

• Dandelion Taraxacum sp.: I have just updated the texture of this flower to make it look more like the real life counterpart.

• Hedge Bedstraw Galium album - Azure Bluet: This is a very common flower in all of Sweden and the rest of Europe. It is commonly found along roads and paths as well as meadows. It is part of the coffee family Rubiaceae, the same as Azure Bluet which is part of why I chose this one to replace it.

• Chives Allium schoenoprasum - Allium: This is not as much of a replacement as it is more of a species determination since the vanilla flower also is an Allium. Allium is the genus that contains everything from onions and garlic to leeks and of course chives, all important culinary plants! Chives often grows in the archipelagos of Sweden and not so much in the forest but I still wanted to add it since it is a native Allium sp.

• Lady's-Slipper Orchid Cypripedium calceolus - Orange Tulip: This is more of a rare species in Sweden but can be found in pretty much all of Sweden, even in the northernmost parts. It is also found in other parts of Europe and all the way to east Asia. It has a very characteristic flower even for an orchid and is one of the oddest looking ones native to Sweden.

• Rosebay Willowherb / Fireweed Chamaenerion angustifolium - Lilac: This flower is very common in urban places and can easily grow in some what polluted and littered littered places. It is some times called "Bombweed" since it was one of the first flowers to appear after the blitz bombings during WWII.

• Common / English Daisy Bellis perennis - Pink Petals: Pink petals is in my opinion one of the worst vanilla flowers since that could almost be any pink flower. Mojang might have intended them to be the cherry blossom flowers laying on the ground but since they have stems connected to the ground I think that would be stupid. The cherry blossom flowers are apart of the cherry trees and do not grow straight out of the ground. Therefore I replaced them with the Common Daisy, an actual small flower that grows with one small stem in height with the grass. This flower is usually a lot more white but they can be more of a pink colour. Some cultivated variants are very pink and almost red in colour.

• Snake's Head Fritillary Fritillaria meleagris - Red Tulip: This plant is not very common in Sweden and is originally not native. Its was how ever imported during the 17th century to the city of Uppsala were it is very common in some places today. It is most abundant at Kungsängen (The king's meadow) which has given it its Swedish name "Kungsängslilja". It is also the province flower of Uppland and that is the main reason why I wanted to add it. I plan on adding more porvince flowers in the future. The Snake's Head Fritillary is usually red or magenta in colour with an almost checkerboard pattern to its tepals but they can sometimes have an almost completely white colour. Around 3-4% of the population are this white variant and I have added this as an easter egg to the resource pack where 4 % of the flowers will be the white variant instead.
