This pack doesn't aim to change the world or completely overhaul Minecraft's look.

Instead the goal of this texture pack is to have every block and item have the first iteration of their respective texture.


This includes having old alpha style ores, but modern deepslate ore variants.

I've also added my "classic ore-drops" resource to this pack as well. So now when you mine for Iron or Copper, it'll drop classic ore blocks instead of raw materials. Do not worry, they smelt the same anyway.

It's a nice subtle way to play modern minecraft with retro graphics while also not completely changing the aesthetic of every new block added to the game.

The old texture for pigmen does not map properly to new piglins. Working on trying to make a fix.

Not exactly. Every update there are minor tweaks and changes to textures. And over time there are drastic changes too. This pack reverts every single texture back to each one’s original and first appearance. It took me weeks to sift through each version of Minecraft and assemble all of them. And I wrote some script to change how ore drops are rendered so they drop like blocks again.

nah, programmer art doesnt change textures to first ever, it changes textures to 1.12.2
