(3/21/2016) I hate to admit it, but I don't think I'll ever get back to working on this. There's so much to do and I just can't do it. I held out hope, but in the end I was lying to myself. I can't even get the pack to work right anymore. In the future, I may re-release True Terraria as a purely vanilla resource pack, while adding only a fraction of the cool stuff with mcpatcher/optifine. It would just be simple stuff, no more biome/height dependent textures. Sorry to everyone who also held out hope for a 1.8 or 1.9 update.
(Original Desciption Below)
"As the kingdom lost its charm, the visitors from other lands dwindled. King Tezro launched an inquiry, seeking answers. It became clear to him. People had lost interest in 2D worlds. And so... The king boldly declared, 'This is an age of 3D!'"

The True Terraria pack works with the features offered by mcpatcher, and therefore requires it to work properly. I've taken advantage of the features to create a resource pack that not only looks, but feels just like Terraria. Everything from connected/random textures, height/biome-based textures, 3D models, renderpasses, sounds and music go towards giving you a true Terraria experience...
...but In Minecraft.
The main focus is recreating the biomes present in Terraria as best as possible, while making sure it still works well in survival. True Terraria comes with a sound pack addon, which includes the original Terraria sounds/music.

True Terraria needs MCPatcher to work. The Resource pack won't work without MCPatcher, and will break if used with Optifine (for now)
Got a suggestion? Want something specific worked on? Love the pack?
