This texture pack is x4!!!
Not just a x16 made in a x4 grid.
That means ... LESS LAG.
The only texture that is changed is terrain.png(all blocks). The reason is that many other textures doesn't fit with x4 and has to be x8 or x16 or higher.

I have used paint.net to draw the textures.

Good work on that one, but it is not really a 4x4 pack as it's just a 16x16 pack made in a 4x4 grid.
