o START WITH A FRESH MINECRAFT.JAR!

oooDownload Optifine HD& MC Patcher
o OPTIONAL: Download Forge Universal if you wish to use additional mods!
oooDownload vonDoomCraft and place it in your texturepacks folder.

oooRun MCpatcher...
o Click the "+" button and select Optifine
o Click the "+" button and select Forge (optional)
o Make sure the top two listed mods are Forge, follwed by Optifine
o Uncheck everything but: Optifine, Forge, and Better Skies
o Click "Patch" and then "Yes"

o Choose vonDoomCraft from the ingame texture Packs menu!
o Be sure to toy around with the Optifine's ingame video options!
You can then install any mods as you normally would!
If your game runs too slowly, try turning down various video options to find your own mix between FPS and visuals.

o "CTM" as well as "Animations"
should be turned on to get most of the fancy texture effects used by vonDoomCraft.
o Set "Clouds" to "Fast"!!
They will look horrible if you don't.
o "Mipmapping" & "Anisotropic Filtering"
Both are used to smooth out textures are they get further away, and make Minecraft look superb! Be sure to have them on if your computer can!

In all honesty, I'm by no means a rich person. And almost every moment I'm not at work is spent working on vonDoomCraft. There's also not a single texture in here so far that took less than 6 hours to create.
I hope it shows; As artistically vonDoomCraft is the largest art project I've ever worked on, and has become somewhat of my Magnum Opus! At this point, I believe I've spent more time actually creating textures for Minecraft than I have actually playing Minecraft.

While I'd never go so far as to say that people need to pay me for my work on vDC, obviously any and all donations are greatly appreciated! Be they $2 or $20,000.

And believe me, I understand that times are tough.
So if you wish to help support vDC non-monetarily, really all you have to do is spread the word a bit! Tell your friends who play Minecraft about vDC, maybe wear a signature.
