Wyldyrbloom is a resource pack of models and tweaks to add variety and wildness to the plantlife in your Minecraft world!
My end goal is to modify every manner of plant in the game, but for 1.0, Wyldyrbloom is released short of that goal. It still covers a good deal of flora, though, and is suitable for an initial release.
Currently, changes include:
- Bushier model for all leaf types, with random rotations to reduce repetitive grid patterns. (May redo later)
- Grass, fern, sweet berry bushes, tall and small flowers, etc. have simple models similar to vanilla, but with some variants added. These will appear as default (single stems), or clusters of two or three, at random.
- Gnarled bare branch models replacing Warped Fences (NOT gates). These use the oak wood texture instead of warped wood.
They're a little weird in certain configurations, but great for accessory branches, or little trees.
- Cacti have branches.
- 3D fungi with multiple variants each. Red, brown, warped, crimson, and nether sprouts.
- Spore blossom variants with slightly different angles for the petals.
- 3D Sapling models (needs redone).
These work with vanilla methods, so NO mods are required! It's designed for 1.18.2, but should work in newer versions (though will be more incomplete). Wyldyrbloom contains no textures of its own. The models are designed to pick up on whatever underlying texture pack you use, be that vanilla or otherwise. Results may vary, due to this. If you use an HD pack or one which already utilizes complex effects such as 3D models, expect some weird results, as this was developed with 16x textures that follow the vanilla vibe in mind. It should work with HD, it just won't be ideal.
Enjoy!
