Hi! I'm Zel (also known as Fireon) and I'm proud to present my all-new realistic, dynamic custom sky pack, Zel's Dynamic Skies!





OptiFine is required! If you do not have OptiFine, please install it or this pack will not work.

- 45 different unique skies
- high resolution (2K) textures
- custom skies for a multitude of biomes
  - savanna
  - desert / badlands
  - plains / river
  - forest / taiga
  - ocean
  - warm ocean / beach
  - jungle / dark forest
  - snowy plains / snowy taiga / ice spikes

- custom skies for day, night, and sunset
- custom sky for rainy weather
- realistic night skies, which include:
  - realistic sun and moon phases

    Note about sun and moon textures:

    - the sun and moon textures in this pack are from my drive and were just some textures I had laying around. I certainly don't remember making them, and it's likely that they were made by someone else. If you made these textures, and want them removed, I'll be more than happy to remove them.

  - realistic stars
  - realistic aurorae and milky way
- two different versions based on personal preference

Which version do I use? Blended or Regular? What's the difference between the two?




The difference between the two versions is that the regular version uses a custom sky background color, while the blended version uses the vanilla sky color. In my opinion, the regular version looks better, but it's down to personal preference. Most of the images in this post were taken with the regular version.

If you're planning on playing with shaders regularly, or using this pack to take screenshots with shaders, I'd highly recommend the blended version, as it is more likely to be compatible with shaders.

Known Issues:

On the regular version, there exists a dark grey haze when switching biomes.
On versions 1.18-1.18.1, the skybox for rain/thunder does not work.
There are seams present on some of the skyboxes (particularly the plains and rainy skies). Unfortunately it is very difficult to fix this, hopefully I will get around to fixing it eventually.




Personal use for any purpose is allowed (obviously).

Constructive use in other packs is allowed, but please link back to this post and give me credit if you do so. This includes, but is not limited to:
  - Most non-PvP packs
  - Packs in which the stated aim is to make the game look more realistic
  - PvP packs in which the used skybox fits the theme

There are two cases in which I explicitly do not allow use of my work. These are:
  - "Vanilla Edits" which do not have any connection / theme to the skybox used
  - PvP packs which do not have any connection / theme to the skybox used
