Not only for Halloween or general cosplay, but also funny to see these red demon or devil horns on some mobs on Halloween (or those Undead who can pick up and equip items like carved pumpkins and Elytra naturally throughout the whole year) ;)

I'm happy to present you the second of many planned wearable / "outfit" models and the first COMBO PACK between my series "MODEL REALITY" and "ELYTRA REALITY"! More of those combo packs to follow, also with other model types included!

Other models such as e.g. different type of wings, masks, hats and more are also planned, see submission post linked below for pictures of a few (high-res) examples, a few of them may be also published, maybe in a lower resolution, like this demon / devil horns model (resolution of 64, reasonably downsized to support older or weaker computers).

The Elytra got a higher resolution, but way less than my usual Elytra Reality packs, again to support older / weaker computers, even more so in combination with a model like in this case!

is there a way to switch this texture to another item, for example the base item these horns are bound to is the carved pumpkin, lets say I want to replace that bound item to a diamond helmet, would that be possible

You can model anything you like/are capable of instead of those horns; e.g. I got a combo pack with angel wings and an angel halo, instead of those horns.

no, I'm asking how because when i try to change the ,json file and I don't know much about this type of programming, I'm wanting in my game play to be able to wear the horns with the defense of the diamond helmet.

Ah I see, that's currently not possible in Java Minecraft Vanilla! The reason is that some things like also the armour is HARDCODED, thus can NOT be modeled! That's why I have to use the pumpkin as headwear for the time being. However, at some point they will highly likely make also armour into models, so I can then in the future make not only headwear like horns with protection/defense, but also models around the chest and pants and shoes, e.g. tails instead of pants!

Just follow the Minecraft changes in the snapshots, as soon as armour can be modeled/is not hardcoded anymore, you can be sure that there will be armour models coming up :)

Do you mean the resource pack?
All resource packs are usually ZIPs, they still can be read by the MC Java game.
Sometimes mapmakers offer RAR-files, especially when there are several files in there that need to be extracted first, but RARs cannot be read as resource pack by MC.

All you have to do is to put that ZIP file into your resource pack folder and apply it as uppermost pack :)

second, i just want to ask something... I've wanting to create a pair of custom elytras for myself inspired by a certain anime. when i came across yours, i immediately thought of using it as a format... i'm already finished in designing it and want your permission for me to upload it... i just want to share my design... clearly all the credit will be yours since the format was yours.... thanks
