Whenever I try to reply to a comment on a collection, instead of the type-a-comment box, a red box appears that reads 'comments disabled', even when no-one has disabled comments.
I don't know if this happens to other users, but it does happen to me.
Same for me, not just you. Tried it on multiple collections and multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge and Firefox) with all the same result of "Comments disabled".
