I have been on PMC for a while and I can't figure out how to get pets. And I know that you find them on the community tab, but I can't find them so I am requesting that you make pets a little easier to find.
Pets are not able to be found year-round. You must wait until certain months of the year/holiday periods for them to begin spawning around the website. Once you are in one of the pet-spawning times of the month, they become relatively easy to locate. You can check my trophy case to see which pets spawn during which months.
