Prevent deletion of comments on servers

I believe PlanetMinecraft should disable server owners removing comments from server pages. The reason behind this is that server owners delete negative feedback from their pages to make their server look better. I feel this puts forward a misleading representation of the server to new players looking at joining, as all bad feedback is hidden. If not this, maybe a 'review' / rating section with star ratings and feedback boxes so that players can see how others feel the server is doing.
In order to prevent abuse of this (e.g. spam not being removable), there could be a minimum level requirement to have the comment made un-removable.

Create an account or sign in to comment.

I have always disagreed with users being able to delete another user's comments, regardless of the content. They are there to share their work, not moderate the comments for it. Comments really should only be removed if the comment violates our rules, not some "oh, because I want it gone" by the content owner.

Disabling all comments prevents both good and bad, so it's a tradeoff. Deleting comments you just don't care for is not.

I agree with Azie, although it's of course not ideal. To add to this, server owners can also disable comments if they get too much negative response.

However, I like you suggestion for a rating system (just giving 0 or 1 diamond isn't enough) where you can rate the server (0-5 stars of whatever). I guess votes kind of act like a rating system, but it doesn't provide a good scale and it's pretty biased since it gives out rewards.

I personally feel that people should be able to remove whatever they like from their own comment sections. It helps us out some with stuff that's not necessarily rule-breaking but might still escalte into something that is. If a server is really that terrible that they're removing legitimate feedback-- not people black-listing and complaining about staff abuse-- then it usually doesn't take very long to find out whether or not you want to stick around if you're new to a server.
