Description

I'd like to preface this by saying it's a rather large change to some of the mechanics of the site and I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement as I do not have a very good understanding of things when it comes to making/editing a website.

What if we could sort the 'Popular' content (the content that is displayed within the subsections of the site at the top of the page, with a scrolling preview of a dozen or so of the currently trending contributions), by category?

When you post a skin, project, etc. you're given a small selection of categories with which to label your work, be that a robot skin or an underground build. Some people don't enjoy seeing certain kinds of work being showcased at the top of the page they're trying to browse.

Don't like Human skins? Select an option to hide them. Love simplistic resource packs? Hide all the other types.

The way this would work is with a small button, perhaps called 'Preferences' (I haven't worked out a name for it, it's open to suggestions). It could be located beside the button to post your content.

(excuse the poor Photoshop handiwork!)

When you select the button you're presented with a page that contains a checklist of all the things you want to appear (or not to appear) on the Popular Reel.

(once again excuse the poor Photoshop handiwork.)

Just an idea I've had floating about. Feel free to drop a suggestion or some input in the comments.

Good idea but it might be easier to have the checkmarked ones be the ones you don't want to see

I personally prefer a blacklist over a whitelist, but this is a very nice idea. Would love to see this.
