let the story begin~

I wake up with a flash. I know I'm hungry. I grab a large cloth bag and without hesitating, I run out and look for an apple tree. I have to walk a long time before I see one. Fresh, ripe apples. I carefully pick the fruit, letting it all fall into the bag. I pull the drawstrings when it's full and carry it back.

When I arrive back at the base, I'm alone. I open the bag and place it near the entrance. I tie back my hair and then go back out to look for Cyprezz. My heart is pounding, and I don't know why. I don't look down at my feet, instead I look around for Cyprezz. He's gotta be around here somewhere... Suddenly, I hear a different footstep sound. It sounds like I'm stepping on something hollow and though weak, hard. I feel a chill go through my body. I take another step. "Surely it's nothi--" I mutter, suddenly screaming for help as it shatters and I fall into freezing water. I can't swim. It was ice! I hold my breath, hoping I'll survive, and try as hard as I can to wave my arms and get back up to the surface. I pop back up just long enough to scream, and I grab onto the ice still over the pond. I push myself up, as joy fills my body that I'll survive. It cracks and scratches my hand as it tumbles down. I fall with it. I can't hold my breath much longer. I try not to, but I take a breath without meaning to. Suddenly, water is caught in my throat. I can't get up to cough. Then, I feel numb. It goes quiet. And everything is silent and.. peaceful.
