The rain was coming down hard. Little Stephanie bawled in my arms. "Shh... it's okay, Avery's here..." I cradled her, and she stopped crying/ "Father, is the storm going to end soon?" I asked as the floor shook because of the strong wind. "I'm afraid it's only begun." Father said hesitantly. He turned on the radio. "This storm is going to be a horrible one. It will tear down houses if that. A tornado is developing by Patron Drive slowly." "It's time to go to the dome so we won't be taken by the storm, Isabel." Said Father to Mother. "Of course." Mother replied. She took Stephanie out of my arms and went to the car, with me following. We got in the car and drove fast, untill traffic came. "It'll be okay, Avery." Mother said, noticing me shaking in fear. We reached the entrance, but then we were stopped by a man. "There isn't enough space for everyone in the town. Only children and women may come in the dome." He said. "What? No! I'm not leaving a member of our family out in...in THAT!
Mother shrieked as she pointed at the tornado coming our way. "GET INSIDE THE DOME, EVERYONE!!!" The man yelled. Our whole famiy ran inside, than the man ran in and shut the dome's doors with a thud. "Everyone duck down!" We all ducked. I looked up to see the most terrifying, yet, amazing sight. We were in the eye of the tornado. "Stephanie..." I whispered, holding Stephanie's head upwards. Stephanie stopped wailing and smiled. I put Stephanie's head back down, knowing the storm still needed to pass over.
The rest of the tornado passed over quickly.
"It's over..." Father said. "Horray!" Everyone shouted.
It was over.
And everyone had survived.
