Minecraftians have used many different techniques to have 1 block on a map, but, there is an easy way to do it.
FOLLOW DIRECTIONS BELOW:
1. Create a superflat world with nothing but air.
2. Make it have cheats.
3. When world has loaded, say /setblock
4. Set coordinates, or do /setblock ~0 ~0 ~0 to spawn right below you
5. Customize the block however you want (/set block ~0 ~0 ~0 minecraft:stone
6. Use it for any purpose!!!
