Minecraft unlike many other games has updates. Updates added new mobs,biomes,and items. The 1.4.2 update added a ton of items,new features,a new boss, and four new mobs. This makes this a very important update. Now let me give you a guide for 1.4.2.
Part 1: Mobs
Mobs fill the Minecraft world, and they belong in six groups. Group one, is passive mobs, which mean they won't attack you. In 1.4.2, only the new bat mob was added as a passive mob. Bats spawn in caves or you can spawn them using mob eggs. Bats don't drop any items,like villagers. Bats the third smallest mob in the current Minecraft game, they are brown with wings and small feet.
The next mob group is neutral and no new neutral mobs were added in 1.4.2. Neutral mobs are zombie-pigmen,wolves,and endermen. After Neutral mobs,there are the tamable mobs. Cats and dogs make this group up.There are three new hostile mobs for 1.4.2; the witch,wither skeleton,and the zombie-villagers. the witch is a looks like a villager and throws potions of harming at you. Witches drop glass bottles, glowstone dust, gunpowder,sticks,spider eyes,sugar,water bottles,and potions. They spawn in witch huts in the swamp biome and mob eggs. The wither skeleton is half wither and half skeleton, it is three blocks tall. It spawns in Nether Fortresses and gives you the "wither" which means your hearts you black and you are poisoned. The wither skeleton drops coal,bones, a wither skeleton head,and a stone sword.The zombie-villager is half villager and half zombie. When a zombie bites a villager and the zombie posses the villager. The zombie villager can be cured by a splash potion of weakness and a golden apple. They drop the same thing zombies drop. After hostile is utility, these mobs are both types of golems. The last are most dangerous group is bosses. The Wither boss is the newest boss. The Wither the hardest mob to fight, it does not spawn naturally. To spawn the wither you must make a soul sand and make it like you would make an iron golem and 3 wither skeleton heads
on the top 3 blocks.The Wither attacks all mobs but zombies,skeletons,zombie-pigmen, wither skeletons,and other Withers. When spawned in the End,the Wither will attack all endermen and the attack the Ender Dragon.
