For people who haven't noticed yet, I made a blog telling you how to make an upside down mobs. IN SURVIVAL.

1. Get an anvil and a name tag.
2. name the tag either Dinnerbone or Grumm.
3. Right click on the mob you want with the name tag. then it will flip the mob around!

I've tested and seems like squid, slime and villagers won't work.

I haven't really tested this yet but probably yes.. depending on how it is coded
