1.8 problems

Soo i updated to 1.8 this morning and i noticed yogbox didnt work (bummer) and also that some of the textures arent working. For example chests show up as dark blocks and so do painting...I also hate how there isn't really a tutorial or a guide to how all the new items/features are used or what their for the the experience system and the adventure thing. The thing i was most ticked about was that none of the online servers are working. I hope that the online server maps weren't deleted with the update because i spent a lot of time on one. Other than that though, the game was fun. Need peoples help on answering these problems thanks [:

so i figured out from research the yogbox for 1.8 as well as 1.9 will be out in a month or two. The problem with the black blocks is problems with the lighting. The way the torchlight or glowstone hits the paintings or chests make them not render correctly. The bread bar is hunger, experience isnt really used for anything yet. Servers just need to be updated by the admin so they can be rebooted and logged into again. [:
