Hello everyone! I've decided to do a recap of 2023 by talking about my favourite skin or two from each month.
There will only be original skins, so no fanskins or RCEs. I may include remakes of my existing skins.

If you haven't already, you should check out part 1, where I talk about how many skins I made in various different categories, like male, female, with backpacks (because Dazzles be like that), etc.

The year started off strong with Shapes devouring my mind. This was an effect skin, inspired by Fransis Derelle - Shapes. It didn't exactly BLOW UP like some effect skins do, but I'm still quite proud of it.

Tens of thousands of attempts was my entry for round 1 of vintagefairylights's tourney. The round theme was video game characters, and I chose the extreme demon face from Geometry Dash! I took the six horns from the difficulty icon, added headphones and then topped it all off with a fancy dark red suit which proved to be very popular!

My favourite skin of March came early in the month. Just another day in the amethyst forest was my entry for round 2 of PigtailTHUNDER's tourney. The theme was fairy/whimsical. I was really happy how the wings and flower crown turned out. You have to agree they're beyond adorable!

My pick for April is When you have a business meeting at 4 but you're skating with the boys at 5. I made this as my entry for round 5 of eclxpsehqtter/Kokano's tourney. My prompt was, and I swear I'm not making this up, "suit, sneakers, tie, backpack".
So yeah, it was a bit of an odd combination. but I had a lot of fun with it!

I'm featuring two skins from May, one released after the other.
First up, we have Half blind in light. This is a full skin made from one of the bases from round 7 of my mega tourney. The palette is inspired by the cover art for Memtrix - Blind in Light. Like a lot of my skins with suits and/or ties, this one was a smash-hit on Skindex!

The next day I released Dive off the deep end. This skin was inspired by Julian Calor & She is Jules - Deep End, and she eventually became one of my OCs, Danielle Emery! I think the hat, flowers and backpack are very pretty, and I hope you do too!

June was the month of SkinFight, so I spent most of my time on that, but I did enter two other contests, and made a male and female version for both entries!
I married a winter night is the male version of my entry for round 2 of RainySomewhere's tourney. We could choose from a few different prompts, and I went with cloud, snow, moon, and formal. I love the mix of dark and icy colours, and the snowball on the hat is really cute!

On the compete opposite end of the spectrum, we have Yes, they are all necessary. This was the male version of my entry for a contest on a Discord server. As you can see, I decided to go all out on the summer theme!

My pick for July is Hiking through the sunflower fields. This skin eventually became another OC of mine, Hervé Terrenoire, and it might just be my absolute favourite skin of the entire year!.
I mean, take one look at this guy, and then try telling me you wouldn't love to go hiking with him!

+- August -+

August was quite a big month. My mega tourney finally ended after 12 rounds, and I reached 600 followers on Skindex. My favourite skin of that month has to be Hollow mind. This skin is based on the Eminence song of the same name. And let me just say, that song is nothing short of a MASTERPIECE!
For the skin I went with a fancy/ethereal theme, with a modern twist. Unsurprisingly, people really enjoyed it!

September was another big month. eclxpsehqttter/Kokano started her Forgotten Kingdoms RP, and this was my first character for it. His name is Michael Arboren, and he's a herbalist from Bloomdale. He's almost always seen with a cherry blossom flower crown on his head, because it truly is The tree of miracles.

September was also the month I launched my everurban alt, where I host raffles and make skins for evercrew events. I decided to make a new persona for the account This guy would definitely fit right into a City full of roses, and ngl, he makes me wish I had a brother irl.

evercrew knockouts didn't really last long, but I did enjoy the two rounds I did have. A brighter day means a brighter mood was my entry for round 2, where I had to make a skin themed around sunny weather. The task with a little intimidating at first, but I was really happy how the skin turned out, and he eventually became another one of my OCs, Adrien Terrenoire. He definitely looks like he's ready for a great summer day out!

But there's no way we can talk about October without mentioning the age progression series I made for my 20th birthday! My favourite skin of the series is Instability, which represents me at the age of 19 (although it could reasonably represent me today as well). My signature red t-shirt is getting very worn out, and I can't replace it, so my new "main" t-shirts are the one on this skin, and the light brown one on my age 20 skin.

I took a break in November because of college, burnout, and an emotional slump that began in late September (not explaining it here, but if you know, you know). It was therefore a bit of a slow month, and almost all the skins were contest entries. But there was one original skin, and that was Taken from the city.
It depicts Trevor Linfield, an OC I made for MobzaTM's Jouraujeu RP on Skindex. It's a fairly simple design, but I still like it. It goes very well with my new shading, which I first started using with this skin!

December was another fairly quiet month in terms of original skins. I had college exams earlier in the month, and after that I did a bunch of fanskins as Christmas presents. But am a big fan of Buzz and bloom, my entry for round 1 of Aagean's tourney. The theme was spring and sunflowers, and I think I represented that very well.
In one of my livestreams, I used this this skin, and penguinplays1235 used the female version. The screenshots were soo cute!

I'm definitely giving Hunting for my life a mention as well. I made three new OCs for the Alcazar arc of Forgotten Kingdoms, and this one is Hayley Newbrook. It took a bit of time to get the colours right, but I was very happy with the end result.
When you see that bandana, the knife strapped to her leg, and the Alcazar flag patch on her backpack, you know she's not going down without a fight!
