I know the Image isnt serious , but these Tactis are.
There is A LOT of things you should know about Combat itself. But today Im just going to tell you 4 of them.
(This strategies may help a leader or just have a great order in during combat)
1.- Radio Silence
When you are in combat, you should be focused in the battle and you also may be informed of what is happening. You want to know where is the enemy attacking from. But, oh wait , you are in a skype, teamspeak, etc chat and everyone is shouting "OMG OMG FULL DIAMOND SOLDIERS TO YOUR LEFT OMG LETS ATTACK - NO WE SHOULD RETREAT! - NO , WAIT WHERE ARE THEY!" and , boom , all your team was killed just because you were confused. There is a solution for this problem: Radio Silence. Instead fo being confused of your surprised teammates , this should be your chat: "Two Full Diamond players from the East" -*radio silence*- "Engageing". And this should help you focusing in the battle.
2.- Getting situated
I know most of you were wondering "How the hell should I know where is the East dude?"
Well sligthly confusing and takes time , but with practice should be fine. The sun rises from the East and the Minecraft clouds move to the North. I also know that some of ya dont have clouds enabled just to have less lag. Sorry, but I dont have a solution easier than just being well situated or simply that everyone knows where is YOUR left or right.
3.-Emotions and Feelings
Have feelings and emotions is not bad, but when they dont are being controled, they are just a obstacle.
Im talking about two most common feelings that you may feel in Minecraft combat: Excitement and Sadness
Both of them are normal in combat, but both of them are just as dangerous as a creeper... well not that bad :P
Excitement may give you so much happiness that it may break your radio silence or your order. At the other hand, Sadness give you low morale and make you and your team to give up easily.
-Note: This strategy is just to you to have order, I know that is not easy to control that feeling when you kill someone with Full Diamond Armor or when you raid your Enemy base, so rules are also were made to be broken ;)
And last but not least:
4.-Skill
When you are leader of a team, you really should see their skills at something. Somebody could be great in TNT or with the bow,sneaking, raiding, etc. This could affect the battle in your favor and should help your teammates to develop better techniqes.
Well, this was all for this moment. I really recommend the book of Sun Tzu : "Art of War" for more useful strategies and techniqes for real life or Minecraft. I just adapted some themes of the book to Minecraft.
