Hey guys and gals, just a quick brainteaser with solution for you to use on whoever you may want to, it could leave them stumped for hours.
The brainteaser is as follows:
A king sentenced a man to his death and gave him a choice on how to be killed. The man was told if he lied, he would be shot and if he told the truth he would be hanged.
What did the man say to the king to be let free?
If youi do not wish to see the solution please stop reading now!
Solution:
The man told the king that he would be shot. This works as if the king believes him to be lying then he must shoot the man, but then the man would also be telling the truth so would have to be hanged.
This creates an unsolvable paradox and the man will be let free as they cannot kill him with the methods offered.
Feel free to use this on your friends/family members :-)
