- While mining stone, try to pay attention if mining a stone block takes slightly longer than usual. If it does, it's a stone silverfish block. Simply mine around it, but there might be another one nearby it, so be careful.
- You should always have a sword with you while mining, (well, ALL the time) just in case there are hostile mobs. Silverfish fall into this category, and it's always better to have the sword next to the pickaxe/shovel so that you can just scroll to it quickly.
- Even though they deal half a heart of damage, they can still hurt you bad. They spawn in numbers, and usually when breaking one block, after a tiny little while, the other silverfish block nearby it will break too, and soon, you'll have a quarter of your HP gone.
