I'm on part 9! Biggest change is that Katress let me use her character Kat in my story! So here we go...

I caught up to the army, and then asked, “Has anyone seen Ares?”

Nobody could answer that. You see, the first place we were going to attack was this fortress on a strategic point in between two mountains. It is thought to be impenetrable, but we were about to prove it wrong. One eagled-eyed (He actually had an eagle's eye) monster spotted us, and rang the alarm. About 300 monsters poured out of the castle and charged us. Everyone, alarmed, drew their weapons and charged. I swung my sword at the nearest creature, and it fell, shrieking in pain as blood gushed out of its chest. The next one fired an arrow, and the knight next to me fell, the arrow poking out of his neck. I ignored the knights all screaming around me and focused on my target. Another creature fell to the ground, and suddenly pain coursed through my body. One monster had landed a hammer blow on my side, and blood oozed out of my mouth. I saw another one swinging a sword right above my head, and I held up my hands, waiting for the worst. But then, blood squirted out of its wound. Nayru had stabbed it through the back with her spear. I wiped the blood from my face and looked at her.

“Thank you,” I said.

“You’re welcome,” She said, blushing.

I went back in. Monsters fell, but then, Troy got shot in the arm by an arrow.

“Troy!” I screamed!

A medic ran over and tried to help him, but was shot three times in the back and lay still. I screamed, ran over, drew my shield, and blocked the fourth. The monster looked at me; it was huge, wielding 2 bows at once. It growled and drew more arrows. I flung myself at it, my sword flashing through the air. The creature only appeared more enraged. It grabbed me by the leg and swung me around like a toy. I crashed into a wall. The monster notched an arrow, and prepared to fire, but it stopped. It fell forward with a look of shock on its face. I drew my blade, alarmed, but behind was a mysterious… thing. I couldn’t really pinpoint what it was. It looked like a girl, but it was cat-like, and half of it was robotic. It then disappeared in a flash. I stood shocked, but then I ran over to Troy. He was groaning, and not only blood, but also pus was leaking out of his wound. The arrow must have been poisoned or something. I yanked the arrow out, and he shrieked out, more blood gushing out. Then, in a weakened voice, said this:

Drakonith…” “Drakonith…

“Yes,” I said, “What do you need!?”

Find her…” “Find Kat…” “She Knows…

His heart stopped beating.

“NO!!!!” I screamed! How could I lose someone else I loved!? That was the second one in two days!

I was snapped back to reality when a body of a knight, cut and torn, flies past me and nearly hits me. I ran and saw what was happening and I couldn’t believe who it was; Ares. He grabbed a knight and tore him to pieces with his bare hands. I ran over to him.

“Ares!” “Please stop!” “Don’t kill these brave souls for your evil!”

That took his attention from the knight he was going to beat. He looked over and smiled.

“What makes you think I am Ares?”

He then turned into the smallest monster I saw; barely a foot in height. He flew at the nearest knight and bit his neck. The knight fell almost instantly. I growled and charged him. But, alas, I didn’t have to fight it. That cat creature came from behind and stabbed it through the head with a dagger. Now, I got a good look at it; it had 2 daggers hidden at its side, and a jacket over its head. I could know it was a she now. And also, more importantly, I knew who this was: Kat, the one Troy told me to find in his last words.

“You’re Kat, Aren’t you,” I said. I expected her to be rude or snappy, but she surprised me.

“Yes, I am Kat,” she said. “What did you want?”

“Oh,” I said. “I wanted you to help us.”

She shrugged. “Ok.”

I flew back into battle, my sword flying through the air. Her daggers, however, were vicious, tearing through the monsters like paper. Just then, a knight ran up to me.

“Sir, we have breached the front doors.” “We’re now entering the citadel.”

We charged in to find it with no life at all.

“Containment area,” I read. “Stay away; Dormos are incredibly aggressive.”

“I don’t like the sound of that,” one Knight said.

Just then, a creature coated in armor jumped down. It turned invisible, then swung its blade and a knight fell.

“Were the h**l is it,” I said.

Just then, Kat swung her daggers in the air, and it fell dead.

“A Bloodthirster,” she said, kicking the body. “They are a type of creature that wants galactic domination.” “They bear highly advanced weaponry, and they will not hesitate to kill any in their way.”

I looked around and realized something. “This isn’t a fortress,” I said. “This is a research lab.”
