Prologue:
So, unlike alot of the guides/stories I write, this will be an observation. Unlike my normal writing style, which is more serious and meant to teach, this is based off my opinion, meaning that the style I write in is more... lax. Anyway, let's get started.
So, as I drift among through submissions posted to this website, I've noticed that there are many differing comments on people's submissions, ranging from kind, to helpful, to plain idiotic.
Trolling Comments (Idiotic):
Trolling comments, while idiotic and getting rarer, are unfortunately still on submissions to this day. While most trolling comments are meant to offend/flame, some are just people re-using over-exaggerated memes and phrases. For example:
As shown by these examples, these are representations of people meaning to invoke someone's emotions with such thoughts as "Wow...," or "Jeez, these people are such tools." Trolls such as these are fed by replies to their stupidity, and the unlucky few who do respond to such trolls can feed them to the point in which they may cause a "flame war."
Flame Wars:
So, as I was saying, the unlucky few who do engage trolls may be subject to something known as a "flame war." For example, a friend of mine made a creation which was honestly well done, and very nice looking. Then, some troll started to hate on my friend's creation. A kind person, not keen in the art of "flame wars" tried to help. This is what happened:
As you can see here, this exhibits an example of a flame war.
Non-Useful Criticism
Non-Useful Criticism, is criticism which is hastily written, and doesn't really help someone improve in the slightest. For example:
This is an example of criticism that is not helpful, and is not meant to help the person improve. This is an example of "Non-Useful Criticism."
Useful Criticism
On the other hand, there are many people who are willing to give you useful/constructive criticism on the creation that you may or may not have put time on. Unlike Non-Useful Criticism, Useful Criticism is well... useful.
As you can see here, these comments are meant to make the author of a creation cheerful. Also, the examples I used here aren't superbly edited with black boxes, but are actually showing the names so if people see themselves on this blog, they can be happy :D
Compliments
Compliments are self-explanatory. Usually used by someone who enjoyed the submission, these comments are thankfully wide-spread around PMC, making anyone who posts something worth a compliment feel great about themselves (and yes, these comments were very easy to find).
As you can see, if you saw these comments on your posts, don't deny that you wouldn't be grinning a little, and if not, at least evoking a feeling of happiness.
Even though to some, this might be a bare-bone view of the comments of PMC, this is how I see them. What do you think about the PMC comments? What are your opinions? Other then that, good luck to you all, have a nice day.

Actual criticism is where it's at. You tell someone what was bad, what was good. Compliments have no place in criticism.
