Hey peoples!Today we are talking about ourur cousin, the chimpanzee.We share 98 percent of our DNA.We are both omnivores and use tools.Chimps are active and played.I recommend watching them at the smoOthies blog is specially dedicated to my friend Hanna, her favorite animal is the chimpanzee.Jane Goodall studied chimpanzees and made wonderful discoveries about them and people.Once, she got too close to one's territory and stood quietly and still as it roared at her.Eventually, the chimp left her alone and she was allowed to see the their everyday life.
     Chimpanzees grow to be about the size of a 3rd grader.4-5 feet tall.They may have inspired people to tell kids in kindergarten to cross their arms, as shown in the picture.Now, if only kids would learn as fast as a baby chimpanzee.Chimpanzees have suffered much by the hand of man, habitat loss, poaching,and foreign diseases have killed many chimps.Now, our  wonderful cousins are endangered.The chimpanzees and every endagered animal has no reason to be killed out like so.No animal should.Now, I feel like it is my job to inform people if this and make a difference.Anyone can help in new, different ways.What's yours?
