Screams




Even though growing up in a ghost town filled with monsters, Iris didn’t
mind. Even though having a cat-like-ghost as her only friend, Iris
didn’t mind. Even though Iris was blind, she didn’t mind. She
didn’t miss much of her family either, except for her mother. Maybe
it was the way she would kiss Iris’s forehead in the gleaming dawn.
Or maybe the way she made fresh baked pastries, every Thursday, just
for her.



“Hey, Isis,” Iris said, holding it’s hand as they walked down the dirt
pathway to their home. “What’s it like being a ghost?” She
questioned, “Is it cool?”

“Eh, I guess so. I can phase through walls and things like that,” Isis said, “Though, they’re
is problems with being a ghost. Sometimes, your death will flash
before your eyes.”

“Oh, that doesn’t sound fun. Hehe, good thing I can’t see.” She said, starting to skip along.
