As most people who have lived under the same roof as me in Minecraft will tell you, I am without a doubt and insane apothecary or alchemist or as some noobs may call me, a brewer. Now don't get me wrong, I love the potions we have now but after brewing them over a hundred times each it gets old. No, I want poisons you can coat your weapon with, potions that make your enemies starve, potions that make the blocky world swirl around you after drinking them. here's a list of potions and effects along with them...
Nausea potion: creates a swirling vision effect
Respiration potion: grants the ability to breathe underwater
Sixth Sense Potion: shows creatures and players as red transparent figures through walls
Alliance Potion: when coated on a weapon the effected target will serve the attacker for a short time
Inferno Potion: this potion will set the target on fire much like fire aspect
Growth Potion: when used as a splash potion on plants it works like a wide range bone meal
Force Potion: works like knock back and gives the user great strength
Acid: when coated on a blade it deals damage directly to the targets armor, enough will cause the armor to break.
And those were just a few of the potion ideas that I had, I'm sure everyone has something to throw in the melting pot. Also I had some ideas for enchanting, I mean come on, the ONE enchantment everyone looks for is Fire Aspect or if your an archer flame or Infinity. So why are there so few GOOD enchantments that give you a real edge over your opponent? I would like to propose some more ideas that would be useful to our warriors of the arcane.
Poison: an arrow or sword that deals damage after the initial hit through poison
Drain Health: takes the target's health and adds it to the wielder.
Serrated Edge: perhaps a thing to do at an anvil, this will grant bleeding damage.
Disorientation: creates a swirling effect on the target's vision.
Affliction: gives the target a disease that causes hunger.
Demon Bane: does extra damage toward any abominations from the nether.
Frost: does additional damage to blazes, very good for alchemists collecting ingredients.
Binding Light: when wielding the blade a brilliant light surrounds you, kind of like a lantern
Once again just a few ideas in the vast spectrum of thoughts other players out there have. Well now I suppose I should tell you all why I think this would be a good addition to Minecraft. As I said before I grow tired of my limitations an desire a wider variety. But also some people who have completed the game and actually have all the stuff to get this want something that's totally overkill that they can use on withers that they summon and the monsters that fight at night just for fun. Also I believe with the potions not only would they be amazing but I hope it will require more things in the world to use as ingredients like deadly flowers, special mosses that grow on rocks and a whole lot of other things! I think the change of scenery would be a good thing for everyone that enjoys the serene scene of the Minecraft world. Thank you for reading and please don't for get to
