The title says it all.

I'm not nostalgic and a complete anti-update freak but the minecraft community used to be more freaking mature. How often do you see people yelling "HACKER, NOOB, ****, FGT" (the list goes on)
There seems to be a lot of immature people on minecraft and more little kids playing minecraft. I'm not bashing all kids who play minecraft, I mean some people can be pretty mature. I've seen a 9 year old admin on a server who acted as if they were 15, (no joke). However, the majority of little kids playing minecraft are not like that. I'm talking about those people who rage when they loose, abuse their power if they are staff, say complete nonsense ECT.

I wouldn't be too damn surprised if I find this in a store.

A lot of these toys and many minecraft accessories are getting way more popular than they used to be, if they even existed a while ago. There is just an insane amount of toys and accessories related to minecraft, seeing a 6 year old with a minecraft book bag on their way to school is normal. Just how many adults still play with toys? This tells you something, doesn't it?

Minecraft now being aimed torwards a younger audience brings immaturity into the community. A lot of servers online seem to be ran from 7 year olds hosting a factions PVP server on their 700MHz pentium 3 PC with 256MB of RAM or whatever.
The quality of minecraft servers seems to be lower, a lot of these crazy 9 year olds are running around and they will beg people for admin, get a "girlfriend" on minecraft, and much more bullcrap.

I feel minecraft shouldn't be focused on little kids so much, it's degrading the quality of servers and just overall making the community worse. Some kids that are mature enough, that's alright. If there are a few 8-10 year olds who can act mature, I don't mind. The overhaul of kids from this age group, I can't handle that.

There also apparently seem to be a lot of immature minecraft youtubers that attract a fanbase of little kids. :/
It's normal to see little kids running around calling gold "budder."

I think Minecraft has gone too far, I think the game is too welcoming to kids younger than 12, with selling all these toys and plushies

Minecraft was basically designed for kids. Basically 9 and up. So expect a rage here and there

Different kids are different. Even teens + can rage and be immature. There are kids who don't rage into the chat. When you hear someone rage, you think they are young.
The argument should be: There's too many immature people on Minecraft. Not too many kids.
It's stupid to say that all kids are immature "brats" that shouldn't play Minecraft. Minecraft isn't exlcluding.

I remember when I first got the game I knew nothing about it, so I went on singleplayer and unleashed my creativity. I think what Mojang needs to do is make singleplayer a bit more appealing.

i find that as much as kids are immature and disrespectful on games, used in the right context and the right way it can encourage creativity and imagination. kids lack tact nowadays its true but the few immature idiots should not ruin the experience because in reality they are only kids!

this article is a great read by the way!

To be honest, it's normally the 11-12 year olds acting as immature as they are to either look cool or they are just moany brats. It's normally this age group that are childish and immature because they are learn the rude words and think it's cool to swear.

I crei everi tiem. :(

Why do you have to bold every word?
Anyway, I believe in this. My friend lately has started to use curse words a lot more frequently and has a Youtube channel. I feel like this is tied together with the fact that Youtube has a lot older people playing the game and, being an adult and being able to do whatever they want, curse and act immaturely. I'm not saying all Youtubers are bad, some of the good being Captain Sparklez, Antvenom, Cavemen films, stuff like that. But if you think about it, you click a random Minecraft video, bam, cursing, profanity, all that stuff.

Using bold is my thing, and yes, people with YouTube channels are more liable to curse.
