The spawn (around x 0 y 72 z 0) should be near (or in) an open ravine that connects to lava and diamonds. The opening to lava is near x 11 y 55 z -21. Diamonds are near x -25 y 12 z -24.

There are plenty of awesome cave systems throughout the map as well.

Nice non-tundra extreme hills biome x -273 y 71 z -110 with plenty of overhands and caves.

Exposed (in the desert) skeleton spawner with huge cave systems branching from it: x -30 y 64 z -310. There should be a "round" or symmetrical room and gravel in it hides a passageway to HUGE cave systems. Don't get lost!

HUGE mineshaft with over 5 chests; three chests in very close proximity: x -25 y 21 z -447; x -23 y 21 z -455; x -28 y 24 z -460. One of them has two diamonds.

Another skeleton spawner among LOADS of caves that all intersect: x 38 y 38 z -440.
