Hey Everyone, Today I will be giving you guys A tip For building your own houses like mine!
String is smexy and all but it shows up on different texture packes! A little known thing though is there is a thing called a Barrier, its like string but is invisable and you cant walk through it.

So how do I get this awsome thing your banging on on about, I here you ask. Well its realy easy! All you need to do is enter the command bellow into the chat.

/give @p minecraft:barrier

actually since it came out in 1.8 if you ever get texture packs people are able to change the look of it since it is actually considered a block

Plus you can't walk through them, there's a reason there called "barriers".

Also, you're late. Barriers were added a long time ago.
