Run, their first instinct took over, and they flew as the arrows wizzed past their ears, air brushing their faces. Roanne was far ahead of the attacking corpses and shooting bone stuctures, but Katusha was far behind, her legs sore and her breath ragged. Her vision was growing pale red, until sudden pain in her torso made it white. Roanne turned to look at Katusha, but, even as her life-long best friend was lying, bleeding to unconsciousness, she kept running, wiping tears away before her sight caused her to recive the same fate. Katusha lay heart-broken, betrayed upon the forest floor, as the Zombies and Skeletons surrounded her. Good-bye... her last thought, and as she drew her last breath, trying not to gag at the stench... Darkness
Katusha awoke in a small hut, with nothing more then one single chest, the bed she lay upon, a furnace and a crafting table. Katusha tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in her back forced her down, sending tears to her eyes and a cry to her throat. As she opened her eyes again, a boy, who looked about, maybe 2 years older then herself, stood next to the bed with a potion and a bowl of soup. Katusha looked down, only to see when her bloodstained hoodie had been, now lay bandages and a shirt, too big for her, but it worked well enought to be comfortable. The boy placed the soup down on the table and gave her the potion, making Katusha feel instantly better. She felt a tingling feeling in her stomach, and saw her cuts begin to heal, and her arrow wound turn into nothing but a scratch. She looked at the boy, stunned. He smiled at her, and spoke softly, 'How are you feeling now?' Katusha's eyes lit up at the sound of such a caring voice, another person, someone who was kind enough to use something as rare as Nether Warts and Glowing Melon to save her, not himself. Katusha nodded, then spoke 'Yes, thank you.' and smiled. The boy introduced himself as Clemente, and helped Katusha get out of the bed.
Clemente was like a big brother to Katusha, he taught her how to aim a bow, how to catch rabbits, skin a cow, tame a wolf and use a sword. Katusha was careful the first few days with 'Clem', but grew to love him like family, and eventually, they called eachother 'Brother', 'Sister', 'Kat', and 'Cement'. They was more inseperatible then Katusha was with Roanne, and, after the betrayal, Kat forgot Ro, ignored her existance, and hoped she was eaten that night for her unforgivable mistake.
One day, Clemente and Katusha went fishing on the river, when they saw trees falling down, bit by bit, and the forest being torn apart. Clemente started rowing back, but Kat ripped of her hoodie and jumped into the water, swimming for the shore faster then Clem could row. When she got to shore, now even worrying abou ther heavy, wet jeans and her muddy tee, she flew to the forest, and pulled the axe away from the lumberjack. Katusha was about to give them a peice of her mind, when the lumberjack started crying. Kat looked at the tree-cutter and saw Roanne, muddy, blood-covered and torn. Her hair was ripped in places.. her clothes were blood-stained and torn.. she looked a mess, and Katusha could do nothing but stick her nose up...
