Better PVP - Simple Guide

We've all been there when you look at someone and they kill you.

This entire blog post is a Tutorial on how to get better at PVP. 
Remember not all servers have the same chest items, and some servers also have Kits. This entire PVP article will be explained without kits.

Let me tell you here though, I'm not really the best at attacking every person and winning. However, what I'm about to tell you has helped me through a lot of things and gotten me many wins. With this tutorial, you will most likely be able to win if you follow it CORRECTLY.

Top Rules

Rule 1: is to trust NO ONE unless you're talking to them on a Skype chat (etc) or are friends in real life. It's happened so many times to me where someone will yell, "Equas, team?" And if I accept eventually when there is about four people left they kill me. It's gotten so bad I don't even bother to reply to those people.

Rule 2: Never leave you're back unguarded. Constantly check behind you or for a more quick and efficient way look behind you with 'F5'. For Macbook users you can easily press the FN button and then F5 or change the controls. I've died so many times from not checking behind me, it's not even funny.

Rule 3: Have your computer's sound on. It's so easy to just keep your ears prickled for a second pair of footsteps, ladders being climbed or faraway people. This doesn't mean to have you're sound on TOO LOUD, because that will make your ears 'defected' to the noise.

Safety Tips

-Ensure you're protection-

Tip 1: When going into a chest I personally always go in F5 so I can see anyone behind me, people around me or fights off into the distance. It's protected me many times, and it'll protect me many times more.
Tip 2: Always have you're items in the correct slots. If you find you're sword works better in slot 5 than 1 or 2, then put it there!
Tip 3: Constantly have food on you. Servers like MCcentral can have you're food bar going down faster than a mountain slide!
Tip 4: I always thought chest routes were for 'noobs', but quickly developed a love for them that can explain no other.
Tip 5: Keep you're hunger bar full at all times. You never know when someone with better armor decides to pick on a poor soul like you.
Tip 6: Use you're landscape to kill people! Say if you were on a cliff - hit someone off! It's an easy kill if you have nothing and you can use their stuff :D
Tip 7: Remember that wood and gold swords aren't better than stone and chainmail is better than leather and gold. It's good to know and remember you're weapons and armor for a better and easier fight or win.
Tip 8: Don't always go straight for the kill when coming to teamers. I often run up to them, hit them once or twice then run the other way and repeat it.
Tip 9: Don't waste you're arrows if you aren't the best with the bow and/or shooting from long distances. Try and make sure that they are close enough for you to hit, but not close enough for them to hit you.
Tip 10: Do never throw away food or fishing rods. Sometimes keep a spare sword/axe on you as well in case you drop yours when running.

Combat

- Tips on how to fight good and win most of the time -

Tip 1: Remember to STRAFE. Strafing is the NUMBER ONE TIP and number one RULE for combat. To strife simply circle around you're target with the d or a keys *default* and spam the mouse button.
Tip 2: Keep you're mouse in a comfortable position and hit the keys really fast and randomly :3
Tip 3: If you have a fishing rod, right when they're about to take the first hit swing the rod at them. It'll stun them somewhat, allowing you to get the first hit.
Tip 4: Try to always get the first hit. It'll give you the upper hand with most hits than the other play can get on you!
Tip 5: As often as this is said, it is commonly not used. NEVER ever attack someone who has better stuff that you! I mean, seriously, someone with a wooden sword and leather shoes isn't going to win against someone with full iron and a diamond sword. How stupid can people get?
Tip 6: Remember you're NOT invincible. Don't get too cocky and remember that there is a chance you could die at any moment. If you see yourself getting low and you're attacking someone that doesn't have as good stuff as you, it means that they're lower and try and kill them. If they have better stuff, try and run away.
Tip 7: If a server offers kits, always use one. Try and pick the one that does the most damage to other players, or one you find easy to use that kills people.
Tip 8: Practice hitting things. Whether is be hitting cows or chickens, or maybe even armor stands, just keep doing it. Practice makes perfect :D
Tip 9: Try and practice holding you're mouse a different way in you're hand
Tip 10: In real life positions can affect you're game play. Try and sit with you're legs under you, our cross legged if you want.

If you won, then congratulates! You either followed every step cautiously, or worked on at least one of the tips very hard :D
If you lost, then learn from you're mistakes and practise again. Better luck next time!
