So, you don't enjoy PvP as much because you suck? Or maybe you want to be a pro at it? Well, here is ow to make PvP less of a gamble, and more of a great test of skill.
Sword Combat
The one thing you need to remember in sword combat is to always keep your crossheir focused on the player you are fighting. That is the backbone of all sword combat. If your crossheir is all over the place, you cannot fight. You will not do damage. You will just swing at the air. Knowing this, you can circle around the player you are fighting. You can make it nearly impossible to hit you and resist your critical hits. This makes PvP more of a test of skill than spamming your left-click.
Bow Combat
This, for some reason is the most hated part of PvP. Well, according to various tests, this is because bow PvP requires good aim. The key and secret to good aim is to make your crossheir right over the player's head, or right on the player's head when fighting from above. Obviously, you are not Katinss just yet, but if you practice your aim will be amazing. Once you got your aim in, let's talk about fully charged bows. A fully charged bow does more damage. However, do not let that stop you. If you are in a bow duel, you can sacrifice a fully charged shot for a quicker shot, resetting the opponent's shot, letting you land a few fully-charged shots on them. One last thing, if you have a sword, and you are not able to hide from a rain of arrows falling on you, block. It reduces the damage the arrows do.
Potions
First of all, avoid damage and poison potions in close combat

There needs to be more significance in PvP as it's fun at the moment, but then again is it really? I think the archery system has been done perfectly and that's changed PvP action since it was added.
