Just like red stone, blue stone is triggered ny plates, buttons, levers, and torches, but CANNOT be triggered by redstone things like a redstone torch. The two wires cant mix, making redstone creations much more compact. Repeaters can be used to transition from red to blue and vice versa, and redstone locking a bluestone repeater is also allowed. With bluestone, pulsers and piston mechanics will be much smoother.
