Have you not understood brewing?
Tons of ingredients confuse you?
Well, that never happened to me but here is the basics of brewing.
First, know your equipment. The brewing stand has a simple GUI, the space at the top is where you put the ingredients, and the bottom three are for potions and water bottles. Next, the Calderon to use a Calderon one must right click with a bucket of water. Now it will fill three glass bottles. I prefer to use a water source block unless you are brewing in the nether.

Second, ingredients and what they do. Now how to actually brew potions. Every potion starts with a base potion, preferably an awkward potion created by brewing a nether wart into a bottle of water. Second ingredients are what are added to make potions here is a list of what second ingredients do when added to an awkward potion.
Ghast tear- from Ghasts- makes a regeneration potion
Blaze powder- crafted from blaze rods- strength potion
Magma cream- from magma cubes-fire resistance potion- craftable
Sugar- speed
Glistering melon- instant health
Spider eye- poison
Fermented spider eye- weakness
Extras can be added to any potion to increase effects
Glowstone dust- more power
Redstone dust- increases duration or makes the effect longer
Note: sometimes you can't add glowstone or redstone dust to a potion
Fermented spider eye: corrupts potions, makes them the opposite effect
Gunpowder- makes the potion a throwable object
Note: you will get some of the effect depending on how close you are

Where to set up a brewery
I personally think that when setting up an overworld brewery have a nether portal close by. Also nether wart only grows in the nether so have a nether wart farm close to your portal.
