I discovered something a couple months ago, and have kept it to myself... until now!
So, I'm sure we've all either seen, or uploaded a Minecraft skin, and the 3D Viewer would not come up, I know the reason, and the solution! When you upload a skin originally, the Viewer works, but when you update a skin, thats when theres issues. You see, if you update a skin, and use a file that is named the same thing as the original files uploaded for the skin, the viewer will break! The solution is simple, just change the name of the skin's files! Example, I upload a skin called, Goose. I want to update this skin, so I do, but I leave the files named "Goose" Now, the viewer will be broken. So to fix this, I will need to rename it "Goose 2" Then update it. The viewer will be as good as new :)
If this helped you, please spread the word by giving me a diamond!
