Building your server????

I know creating a server can be not only costly but frustrating, I've been there with you and I've see my share of disappointments with my servers, but the main thing is to stick with it.All of the successful servers have one main thing in common, their owners have stuck with their desire to own a server. I am going to do a weekly tutorial starting today with setting up your outline of your server. Though time consuming it saves time later on, while others are thinking about what they are going to name it or what the ranks and donations are going to be you all ready have all of it organized in your outline.

Here's my layout of a outline of my new server(its still in progress):

----Server Description----
A RP MMO server that combines World of Warcraft,Runescape,
and Minecraft to form a place in a fantasy land filled with dwarves,
elves,humans, and gnomes.

----Server Plan----
The player will embark on a series of tutorial quests in one of these
he/she will learn they are destined to save Hyperia,The player will then
choose if he/she want to save Hyperia, but along the way the must choose
between the warring factions Hyperian or the invading Atrians.The player
can also purchase land from their factions government to build houses.
Depending on the faction leader the player may also buy land to build
outposts.

----Hyperian Faction----
The original government of Hyperia, Their capital is located in Mirsta, they
are the wealthier government but lack the resources that the Atrians have.
If you were to join this faction you would be helping restore order in the land of
Hyperia.

----Atrian Faction----
An ancient rival of Hyperia, Atria is located to the west of Hyperia and is home to the
Atrian republic. The Atrians see Hyperia as a holy land and wish to take it from the
Hyperians. The Atrian capital is located in Murtock in eastern Atrian, what the
Atrians lack in wealth they make up for in resources.Joining the Atrian army would
label you a traitor and you would be exiled out of Hyperia, you would be fighting to
regain your homeland and helping overthrow the monarchy in Hyperia.

Peasant- the lowest rank, reserved for players who have'nt registered on the website
Citizen- the main body of the undecided players, they can purchase small plots of land from Hyperia
Squire- the first donator rank,acquired after donating a total of $5
Knight- the middle donator rank, acquired after donating a total of $20
Lord- the highest donator rank, acquired after donating a total of $50
Duke/Duchess- the moderator rank
Prince/Princess- the admin rank
King- the owner rank

Trainee- the newest players
Recruit- a newly trained soldier
Officer- an experienced soldier, responsible for training and disciplining Trainees
Commander- in charge of the Hyperian Army

Trainee- the newest players
Recruit- a newly trained soldier
Officer- an experienced soldier, responsible for training and disciplining Trainees
Fort Legionaire- a small group of elite soldiers
Commander- in charge of the Atrian Army

Dwarf- a class that specializes in Hammers, can wear all armor
Elves- a class that specializes in Bows, can where leather and chain amor
Human- a class that specializes in Swords, can wear iron and diamond armor
Gnome- a class that specializes in axes, can wear iron armor

No griefing- ban
No stealing- temp ban minimum 3 days
No cussing- mute for 1 hour
No hacking- ban
No changing your RP- mute for 2 hours
No breaking Rp- mute 20 minutes

Obviously I need to work on it a bit more.Though incomplete it still organizes my server.
