"Get in there!" spat the guard who had escorted us to our cells. We all had cells that allowed us to speak to each other. for, in the front was a solid but transparent glass-like material with a iron doorway. And separating the cells were metal bars.
"How could I have let this happen?" I wept.
"Raiku, it's okay." Sofia comforted, touching my hand, for they put us in a single cell until nightfall at which time they separated us.
"Prisoners! Get ready to work!" laughed the warden. Guards stepped out into the hallway and the other prisoners stood up at their cell doors, obviously used to the routine.
"What do we do?" Akashu whispered to me.
"I don't know. Just do what they do." I replied while tilting my head in the other prisoners direction. As we left the cell I noticed that our guard had a slight limp in his right step.
"Line up!" yelled the brute, while he unlocked our cell. They then guided all the prisoners to a large pit filled with sparkling stones. Inside the stones were small crystals with an orange-like gleam to them. The same orange light that emanated from the Brimstone's weapon right before firing.
This must be what they used to power their artillery! I thought to myself.
While handing out picks, the warden ordered,"Start digging! For those who are new. You will mine these rocks and place the gemstones into these carts." he continued, mentioning toward a small minecart system. As he turned to face the carts, I say The Holy Piercer strapped to his belt.
"Look there." I whispered to Sofia.
She turned and said, "This is gonna be harder than we thought."

After about 3 hours of mining. The warden and his men escorted us to a room with a low ceiling. The rest of the prisoners then proceeded to make 2 lines while picking up trays. It was a mess hall. After everyone had gotten their food and sat down at their tables, I noticed a familiar voice speaking I looked around to find out where it was coming from. As me vision flickered past a young girl I stopped. I made a double-take. It was a miracle! As I looked for the second time, it was May! I was awestruck. As I made my way over to her table and sat down; she didn't recognize me.
"Hi, I'm new here." I said.
"Welcome. Hmm, do I know you?" she replied. I tried to hold back the tears that were welling up.
"Yes, yes you do." I wept.
"Who are you..?" she asked.
"May! I can't believe your still alive!"
"Ra-Raiku..?" she asked reluctantly. I nodded. She started crying too.
"Hey, Sofia come over here. I beckoned. She came. "There's someone I'd like you to meet. Sofia, this is my sister. May, this is Sofia." they greeted each other. "How did you survive?" I asked.
"We were watching the tv whenever it started. After dad saw the sky, we all went into the basement, than a few minutes later the roof began to creaking sound. Shock ran through us. We thought it was the, and that there was no escape. And I'm sure you know what happened after that."
"Well," I said, clearing up my tears. "Now that we're all together, it's time to strike!"

Season 2 will begin after summer.
