Cake Tales (Night of the living Cakes)

For several generations, Humanity had been left unchecked by Nature, destroying anything they wished to build their structures over it, however, deep in the North Pole, there lay four creatures, defying nature's laws they had built an empire where the North Pole now exists, they had been asleep centuries before humans appeared on the odd world of Karrot.

These beings were not named, but instead called what their trait is.
The leader was called Strawberry, the Warrior was called Devil's Food, the Strategist was called Red Velvet, but the other was different from the others, he was called 'Brother' by the other beings, they believed they were all Brothers, for they had appeared together on Karrot, and ruled over the frozen land.

The first to awaken was Strawberry, the leader.
He looked at his brothers, but saw Nature's servant Kilo stood in the Frosting Temple "Brother Strawberry, Mother Nature has sent me, to negotiate for you and your Brothers' freedom on Karrot" Kilo said, handing Strawberry a message stone which read
'Greetings my sons, your Brothers, the humans, have rebelled against me, and are destroying my lands, your mission, if you chose to accept, is to stop them at any cost. I shall help you on your journey, choose wisely my sons'
Strawberry looked at Kilo "Inform Mother that I accept, and inform her we cannot stop their massive armies with only the four of us" Strawberry gave back the message stone to Kilo, and watched him wake up Devil's Food and Red Velvet, he looked at Brother and said "This one will stay asleep for now, you have betrayed Mother in the past, he is our garuntee that you will do what she asks" Kilo then evaporated, returning to Mother Nature

Devil's Food and Red Velvet stood up "Why has Kilo awakened up Brother Strawberry?" Red Velvet asked "Red, Mother Nature has given us a task, in exchange for our freedom, and for the freedom of our Brother" Strawberry answered, taking his equiptment from his bedside, the others did the same "Brother Strawberry, how will Brother know how to find us when he awakens?" Devil's Food asked "Devil, we will be told when he awakens, and when he does one of us will return and bring him to join us in our fight against the Human Brothers and Sisters" Strawberry answered "We cannot win against the Humans!" Red said "They are a large species, we are three as of current times" Strawberry looked at Red without a look of amusement "Mother Nature will guide us, it is her will that we stop the Humans from destroying the lands, so that is our mission, we must fufill it, for Brother, and for each other" Strawberry answered before they set off, searching for the land of the Humans.

The Brothers stopped after they reached the bottom of a snowed-over mountain, resting for a bit, when Devil saw a strange thing among the tiny trees that covered most of the area near them "Brothers, I believe we have found something of interest" the three walked up to the object, it was interesting, for it had snow and a tiny tree inside of it, but what marked is as a gift from Mother Nature, was that the Tree inside was living.

Devil reached out to touch it "No Brother Devil, do not touch it" said Strawberry "It could be a test of wits" Red looked at the object with curiosity "Perhaps it is a gift from Mother Nature to defeat the Humans?" Red said, staring at the tree inside "Let me touch it." Devil said "For Brother" Strawberry sighed and nodded "If you feel any negative energy withdraw your hand"

It felt like nothing had ever felt, like the physical essence of life itself, the area around them went black, then they heard noises, like a thousand things moving at once.

When the darkness cleared the Brothers were greeted by others of their kind, but smaller, and clearly not a fully prepared Army, and so for a week as their kin grew, they were taught the ways of fighting by Devil, the ways of planning by Red, and the ways of leadership by Strawberry, after the training was complete the Brothers sent their kin to attack a small settlement of Humans nearby that the new scouts had discovered, however, while the others did this, the Brothers had a quest of their own.

In the night Red had been visited by a Piglord of the Nether Realm, according to the Piglord, the mysterious Black Dragon had been roaming through the land and destroying anything it wanted to, including a Karrot Pigman settlement, along with their only escape: the Nether Portal.

Red agreed to slay this beast with his Brothers, and so this was their mission, to find the Dragon and end it's reign of terror in the wastelands, while also freeing the Pigman from danger.

The two groups set out around the same set of time, the Brothers left once their kin had reached the settlement, heading towards the wastelands.
