I bolted up from the ground and looked around. Gasping for air, I took in my surroundings with confusion as I tried to get a grip on my thoughts. The only thing I could remember was that faint whistling noise that I heard when I was walking home. Where was home? No idea. But I did have one... I think. Everything else was a blur. There was suddenly a giant explosion, a wall of murky yellow-green energy that blasted up in front of me. I heard the shrieks of pain as thousands of voices cried out, all vanished in an instant. The winds doubled then tripled in strength - it was much to strong to resist. Rolling back, I dropped my briefcase and grabbed the base of a tree and hung on for dear life. Debris flew through the air, and one tin can was all it took to clock me on the head and send me back. Another went off behind me, as....
The memory fell dead at that. Every other part of my mind was pitch dark. Now here I lay on this beach, totally oblivious to where I was or how I had gotten here. My bones ached, and the sun was directly overhead. Dead noon. Forcing myself up, I cringed at the sudden shot of pain that zipped through my back. I had to suffer through it. Though my legs were shaky, I made my way over to the brilliant ocean a few feet away. Glancing in, I saw my reflection glistening in the waves. I had a tan complexion and brown hair, blue eyes, blue jeans and a torn cyan shirt. Dirt caked my cheeks, and sand clung to my jeans and shirt. I felt around. Nothing but mounds of sand in my pockets.
I froze. The faint rustling of bushes could be heard emanating from somewhere nearby. I hadn't seen anyone or anything alive, so naturally I was a little frightened. To my right was a large hole that sunk down about 30 feet into a cave. If worst came to worst, I had an escape route. I was prepared.
As it leaped out of the bushes at me, I lunged backward. Nearly falling over, I gave it an awkward glance. It was a pig. Joke's on me. With a small grunt, it looked back at me. His eyes were facing opposite directions, derping at me. Walking toward me, he gave me a small sniff before whirling around and heading full speed for the hole. Hitting the bottom with a loud squeal, he fell over dead. Poor thing. That explosion must have rattled his brain a little.
Now, I was hungry, but that hole was REAAALLY deep, and, well, I wasn't that desperate. Rest in peace, pig.
I really didn't know what to do next, so i just aimlessly explored the beach, looking for food, shelter, and, if at all possible, someone else.
