Creating my first server

Welcome to my first blog post in a while...

So I have been a moderator, admin, head Admin and co-owner on many a server in my time but for the first time I have decided to have a go at it alone. When I say alone I mean with the technical help of my partner who seems to have worked out all of the behind the scenes things. I am still learning, after many years of many different programs and hosting sites I have a mass of information about how to go about things like updating plugins and even using the console. However it is coming back to me. The in game stuff is easy, running a command to move a player into a group or give them some items or punishing them, that comes easily to me, However I was surprised at just how much I need a team of people. In the server I am an admin on we have a team on 19! I have 2 admins, a co-owner and a moderator and we are all learning. however the server is sturdy and people seem to like its simplicity, which is what we were going for. The idea was not to have too many plugins yet for it to still be fun, to get as much out of actual Minecraft as possible which you don't see much of these days. I could not resist having an economy and some McMmo in there though. plus who can resist Dragon travel! Anyway this was my little blog update. I have so many things to post about!
