Don't you hate bullying, online and in life? Well I Do! Hey guys, MineTasticAdventures here. Today we're going to be talking about cyberbullying, and how it's taking over the internet.
Say, you're just playing some Minecraft, your daily routine. Then you run into someone that is cyberbullying another player, or even multiplayer. Are you going to take a stand, or are you going to ignore it? Here's a reason why you should do either one.
Taking a stand for Cyberbullying:
You feel like you can't do it, but you also have the urge to stop it. Here are some tips -
Ignoring the situation (No staff member included because you should take action of it if you are):

Interacting as a Regular Member
You don't want to make the issue worse. This paragraph is mainly for non-serious things, if it is more serious you might want to contact a staff member. Try to smooth things out, or try to push the player out of the game. Also, get the main victim away from the fight. You don't want them there anymore, the bully might use the victim as a threat, which that you don't want. Try to change the subject, pushing the bully to become friendly on the server, especially if this has happened before. You don't want anymore conflicts on the server with this player. If possible, try to contact a staff member if they are on the server, so they can help you try to get the bully off the server. If it is against the rules, then yes, you would defientley want to report them or get a staff members attention. That's important. If the bully, victim and you are the only ones on the server, try to cool things down and get the players doing other things. That'll get them away from each other. Maybe try to get the players to get along, especially if this happens a lot - of course, they fight. If it becomes into something major such as excessive use of caps, or one of them spamming "{user} *use of curse words* sucks!!!" or something related. (This paragraph is for members)
Interacting as a Staff Meber
First of all, you have to know the rules. If this is against the rules, follow the specific instructions, or temporarily ban then for about an hour, so they can cool down and maybe go play on another server. If this continually happens, then ban them for a longer time. If this has been continued for a month or so, go ahead and permanently ban them from the server. By then, it would be at worst, and something bad might happen to the server. If they are trying to bully you, /mute them. They shouldn't disrespect staff, and if staff started it, then they shouldn't be staff. If staff started the situation, go ahead and inform a higher rank or the owner about it, so they will most likely be demoted. If a lower staff member than you is creating the issue, then go ahead and mute them.
Non-Interaction
If it is disrupting your gameplay, turn off your chat, or just simply /ignore them if possible. Or, you can turn off your chat in the settings menu if possible. Don't take serious conflict of it, maybe just /tell a staff member if possible about the situation, without you being involved in any of it. If you are in a chat, just simply leave it. No problems. If a friend is in there, go ahead and join another server - that would be probably the most simple way to do it. Or, just simply tell your friend to /ignore them too.

Bullying should never be accepted into the community, and I really do hope that I have every case reported.
