Note: Yes, I know, it looks like I copied and pasted it from somewhere. That's because I wrote it in microsoft word, so don't accuse me of stealing or anything.

Introduction.

Hello again everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything, so I thought it was time to write another blog. I’ve been experimenting with a new style of graphics done with mine-imator, they look quite amateur, and I’m thinking I may go back to my old derpy cover images. I honestly want your opinion on which you think look better, though. Anyway, enough of that. What I’m going to be talking about today is an issue which I think we’ve all noticed before, but we really just take it for grant it. It’s dedication. We’ve all seen it before. There was some member who was great, gained a lot of popularity, became an overnight sensation, and then the next week, they’ve completely disappeared from existence. Why is this? These people just didn’t feel dedication. Let me get things straight: in no way do I mean to say that these people lack dedication, I’m just saying they didn’t feel dedication to the site itself. Anyway, allow me to go into more depth…

What is dedication?

According to the all-powerful google search, dedication is the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. So, in terms that the average human could understand, dedication means being committed to something, I.E; if you dedicated yourself to going to the Olympics, you would be constantly training in the sport you wished to pursue, and wouldn’t be making rubbish excuses to keep yourself from practicing. Or in PMC-related ways, you would be dedicated to posting your work on a regular basis, and keeping whatever fans you have pleased.

What does it mean to feel dedication?

To feel the emotion or quality of dedication is simple yet complicated at the same time. Basically, if you felt dedication, you’d feel compelled to stick with something to the finish. If this special something was this wonderful site, you would feel compelled to be constantly active on the site, to be posting regularly, and to be an active member of the community as well. The more complex things are what cause us to feel dedication itself. It’s different for every person. For some, it’s a sense of community, for others, it’s a desire to prove themselves in some way, and for others, it’s something else. The thing is, everyone is different, and it’s all about finding out what makes you determined to work hard.

There are exceptions.

I’m not saying there aren’t exceptions. The thing is, inactivity isn’t always caused by losing your passion for the site. It can be as simple as just outgrowing minecraft. But the inevitable, ugly truth, is that we won’t be on the site forever. We’ll go off to college, we’ll make new friends, and new things will come up that will require the use of our spare time. I mean, the site may very well shut down. I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to picture a 90-year old, senile version of Paril or Cyprezz keeping the site online. It’s a possibility that the site’s ownership might be passed on, but how practical would it be?

Conclusion

Well, thank you all for reading. I apologize if it seemed like I was rambling on, or if the blog just sucked overall, I wrote it in a car, at night, on a very bumpy road… a few paragraphs that I had to retype got deleted because of the bumpiness. Guess I was dedicated to finishing the blog! Huehuehuehuehuehuehue. Anyway, if you guys enjoyed reading this, a diamond is always appreciated, but if you’re an amazing person, it always makes me happy to see the blog appearing on people’s favorites list. Also, I squeal with delight whenever I see a new subscriber, it proves to me that people appreciate my work and would like to see more, and that honestly means the world to me. Anyway, see you next time, everyone!

Heh, the characters are actually performing tasks, they're supposed to demonstrate that they're dedicated. If you look closely, I'm holding a pen and paper, Fanjawi is holding a paintbrush, painting on a piece of canvas, Jetra is building, and Candlebor is.... derping out. They were supposed to resemble dedication to the tasks.
