After having read an informativ article by side moderator Zaralith on the reasons why moderators delet stuff, I decided to write an article from the other point of view; how should a user react when his submissions are deleted?

I am going to base this article partly on my own experience with deleted skins, partly I will use thoughts from Zaralith's blog and one part also consists of the general rules of this site.


Now, let's get startet. If one or more of your submissions get deleted, you will get a private message telling you this, and also telling you which moderator deleted it. The deletion will also result in a temporary bann, which means that you can not do anything public on PMC, such as posting submissions, subscribing, commenting or giving diamonds. You can however still write personal messages to specific people.
Although a deletion is never without a reason, it might not always be justified. To find out wether it is or is not justified, you need to - first of all - find out the reason why it has been deleted.
To do this:
1) Check the submission rules: Read them again, try to find out wether you can find something on your submission that was incorrect. If you find it, you know that you should never have uploaded it in the first place.
2) Contact the moderator: If you can't find out the reason yourself, ask the moderator who deleted the entry originally.
    Always keep in mind: Be kind, the moderator only does his job. If you are polite, he will also be.

If you now the reason, but don't think it is justified, you can talk to the moderator again. If you can proof that he was wrong, he might reuload your submission, giving you all your stuff (Description, Diamonds, Favs, Exp...) back.
As before: Stay polite and be kind, then he will also be. Do not make their job more difficult then necessary.

I know that all this is possible, because I had several skins deleted out of various reasons, one of them unnecessarily (my Herobrine King skin). I had a chat with KnobleKnives, who deleted him, and I could convince him to put the submission back in place.
