This is my first blog, i made it for the Minetutorials contest. I decided to clear up an important issue, the difference between griefing and raiding. Ok, so some people just don't seem to know the difference between raiding and griefing, on many pvp servers it will say that raiding is permitted but griefing is not.
Raiding is a more organized form of looting. When you raid a house you only take the things that are of value or use. Here is a picture of what i consider to be fair game for a good ol' raiding.
Also anything in chests or furnaces would be fair game...
It becomes Griefing when you start destroying things that are part of the home, such as the windows, ceilings, floors or you start destroying farms and blocking up doorways. Taking from the farm is fine but destroying it altogether crosses into griefing. Also, this is quite obvious, putting lava and/or water in someones house is also griefing.
Keep this in mind next time you're pillaging, you don't make friends by breaking the rules.
