Do Celebrities Play Minecraft?
Have you ever wondered if famous people are normal human beings? If they ever leave the gym/ the red carpet/ their indoor pool/ the recording studio/ the film set/ Harrods/ their friendo s mansion (etc.) and play games like everyone else? Well, fortunately the internet has given us a window into their lives and we now know of a number of famous faces who like to play Minecraft. Not necessarily the people in the picture above...but still.
Joel Zimmerman (better known by his stage name Deadmau5) has been nominated for Grammy awards for his work as a music producer, DJ and performer. His music has appeared in GTA and The Sims among other major titles and he has over 2 million Twitter followers. (have I convinced you that heo s famous yet?) Many of his tweets are gaming-related and he even has his own Minecraft server.
Kristian Nairn is an actor starring in the TV series Game of Thrones who talked about how much he enjoys the game when he appeared on the Yogscast podcast. Admittedly you may not have heard of him but, come on, ito s Game Of Thrones.
Mila Kunis (who plays Meg in Family Guy and recently starred in o Oz the Great and Powerfulo and o Tedo ) described herself as a o computer nerdo in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, saying she regularly enjoys online games like World of Warcraft, Call of Duty and Minecraft.
Chris Kluwe is an American football punter for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He also writes reviews for gaming magazines and is a fan of Minecraft, Guitar Hero 2 and World of Warcraft. Io m hoping the only reason I haveno t heard of him is that Io m not American.
Jonathan Ross is one of the UKo s best-known television presenters. He appeared in a YouTube interview with Simon and Lewis and, although being an avid gamer, admits he got bored of Minecraft after playing for a few minutes. (His username is o WossyMano .) Still, he played it once. Thato s enough.
And finally, Youtubers such as SkyDoesMinecraft, SeaNanners, CaptainSparklez, and the Yogscast all play Minecraft. Who would've guessed?
Please dono t complain to me about the low calibre/lack of celebrities here. If I did any more online research my eyeballs would fall out. So yes, basically not many celebrities play Minecraft. But remember that these are just the few who have confessed to having the game. With 12 million users worldwide, Minecraft must surely have more secret celebrity players up its sleeve. Some say that Jack Black plays Minecraft because he posted a picture on Facebook of him wearing a T-shirt related to the game. There are many others who we're unsure about. What about, say, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles or Jadyn Smith? Surely one of them must play it? I say this because it would be great if they did play; I'd be first in line to slaughter one of them in PVP. Surely they must have the time? Surely they, and other celebrities must have the guts to admit being MC fans? Surely.
