Now, we probably all know very that there are wolves in Minecraft, but what about Doggies! Like, wouldn't it be cool if you could own any type of dog in your world?

Not to mention, they should be able to breed, and make puppies! How adorable! And if they do get added to Minecraft, they should be able to have mixed breeding. By doing this, the offspring will be one type of dog, from either of its parents.

They should also a new food item, dog food! It should have a crafting recipe, and they should also add bowls, which can be placed down unlike the wooden bowls. It would be even better if they added leashes and collars, and a pet tracker that can tack your pet in a 100-block area. Dogs should spawn inside of villages, usually 2 to 3 per 5 villagers. The species can be random, and the way you tame them is with dog food.

They will then behave very much like a wolf, following you around and damaging enemies, but while they are untamed, they are completely peaceful. Their health should range somewhere from 10-20, and if tamed there health will automatically go up to 20. If they are damaged, they can be healed quickly by using dog food, restoring as much health as cooked beef would to a wolf, and by doing so they can enter love mode and therefore, breed.

They will have the ability to restore 1-3 health points per minute, just like a player would. They'll have a hidden saturation and hunger, which functions the same way a players would, and by giving it dog food it would restore the same amount of hunger and saturation as a player eating cooked beef. Healing is based on saturation, just like a player is, as of the Minecraft 1.9 Update. As many as 17 dogs can be in the world at the same time.

An Achievement: Pet Caretaker should be giving when a player tames a dog. While they are untamed, they will follow villagers around wherever they go. If you attack an untamed dog in a village with an iron golem, he will attempt to kill you.

Dogs can enter The Nether and The End. If you get to far from them, they cannot teleport to you, like a wolf. Skeletons, Strays, Illagers, Vexes and Withers not to mention the Ender Dragon will all make attempts to kill all nearby pups and doggies without, warning, though they will go for a player first, unless the player is to far from them, however, same applies if there is an NPC village with an iron golem, as they will go for it first.

Giving a nametag to a dog and killing will display a splash message saying, (whatever you named) was meanfully killed by (whoever killed it).

Dogs can mate with wolves, and the offspring will either be a wolf or the type of dog that was breeding with the wolf. Dogs can breed even if untamed, and can breed with untamed wolves, too.

If a dogs hunger gets to zero, they will take 1 damage every split second, regardless of the difficulty, unless its set to peaceful.

Dog food is crafted out of wheat, cocoa pods, and a bone. When a dog is sitting down, they will not lose hunger.

Thanks for reading this blog and have a peaceful day!
