Reports & Blogs:

I realize this won't change anything but maybe, just maybe, this will help some users.

Let's talk a bit about reporting. I mean what to report and what not to report. Every single day you see many reports, sometimes great reports, other times very stupid. Let me explain why, dear children. I am a Forum Moderator and everyday I go through all the reports on the forums and to tell you the truth, most of them are very stupid. For instance I saw a report once where someone reported someone else for calling them dumb. Guys, if someone calls you stupid or dumb, it's not a big deal. Small remarks like that are just to be ignored and not to waste time reporting.

Some people also report a BUNCH of threads that really don't need reporting and I can tell you why. To "become" Moderators. This is what is known as Mini-Moderating when users report so much that doesn't need to be bothered in reporting. It wastes our time and your time. A good thing to think about if/when you think you are reporting way too much that doesn't need to be, imagine you are a Moderator. If you keep deleting threads or locking them for no good reason, you will get in trouble and looked down upon.

Once you report the RIGHT things, you will get a great thumbs up from me for sure and it will save yourself some time.

Next I would like to talk about Blog writing. I think I have made a blog about this before and I think Carole has but anyways, the main thing I would like to say is your blogs really have to be at least 300 characters! Most blogs are under 100 characters and it really doesn't make me a happy cookie because the "rules" of blogging are hidden and even if they weren't hidden, it would still be ignored. Plus, most blogs are things that can be on forums, whether it be server advertisements or a 10 word blog on some help they need or a question they have. Guys, this belongs in the forums or on the PMC chat, not on in the 'Blogs' section.

You will make the Site Mods life much easier because technically they should be removing every blog in in the 'Blogs' section because they don't follow any of these "hidden" rules and if and once we show these rules and enforce them, that will basically give Mods the clearance to give warnings to everyone and remove all the blogs that don't count as blogs. People think that making blog that is 300 characters is very long but truthfully, 300 characters is just one long paragraph in a blog. That's it! You're done! Congrats, you made a blog that is actually worthy of being considered of a blog!

Other than that, try to follow these "hidden" rules and not only will you make the Moderators lives easy, but also your lives.
