We know we did something on a website or whatever but some notifications are just plain stupid.
1. The Subscribe Notification (PMC)
We know we subscribed to someone, you don't need to tell us and make us have to get rid of it!
2. Achievement Board (Steam)
When you press esc. a small box will appear on your screen where everything else is so it's not in the way, but we don't care we got an achievement (unless really proud) we want to see what other players got, don't we?
3. Xbox 360 Notifications & Beacons
I'm lazy I don't want to turn off notifications and beacons. So that's why their annoying, if anything important, like a message or something, beacons get in the way example: GhostGeneral4598 is playing Black Ops 2 (II), and someone sent a message at the same time (yes it will appear after, but what if it doesn't?).

Even here, why do you post and share your projects? To get feedback, yes, however it's generally for the praise of, "Holy cow, this is the neatest shizzle-whizzle ever!" Some of that praise comes from being a high level, or even for a few it's just knowing that what they do can effect others (Some of the blog posters do this).
Expanding on the conception with the Xbox notifications, it's actually fairly simple to turn them off and would take literally under 45 seconds. However, I do understand where you're going with this. Notifications can be fairly annoying especially when you're playing split-screen on Xbox and it takes up a majority of the bottom player's screen.
Good blog, although I suggest picking a topic where you can expand on your concept a bit more, add some "fullness" to the blog.
