I just want to say you that you get an extrem boost of experience when you defeat the Enderdragon. An example: I've defeated the dragon with level 5 and after gaining the experience I was level 107! Yes, that's right LEVEL 107!!!
I think that's really cool to enchant your tools and armor :D

In creative it is not the level. It is the number of experience.
So... you weren't level 318 xD
